I painted Odeceixe 3 in the main square in Odeceixe (xe = sh /ʃ/), in Portugal, in response to the colours and textures in the buildings that surrounded me. There was such a rich range of visual information that worked together, and to capture it fully, I intuitively condensed it all onto one page.
