My work is rooted in colour. My paintings are observations of things whose colours and colour combinations I find especially enjoyable, such as flowers. Mixing and exploring the colour mediums that match the object I am looking at is of particular pleasure.
Plans for the future are to explore how the colour combinations I like can be transferred into pattern and design for surfaces such as fabrics and paper. I am interested in what design and pattern does with the human eye, leading it to follow various directions through colour, shape and symbolism.
